Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) is preparing articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden for threatening to pause shipments of certain weapons to Israel if Netanyahu proceeds with his planned invasion of Rafah.

On Wednesday, Biden threatened to stop supplying Israel with bombs and artillery shells, which have been used to kill civilians in Gaza, if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu orders an invasion of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians are seeking shelter.

“I made it clear that if they go into Rafah – they haven’t gone in Rafah yet – if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities – that deal with that problem,” Biden said.

“We’re going to continue to make sure Israel is secure in terms of Iron Dome and their ability to respond to attacks that came out of the Middle East recently, but it’s, it’s just wrong. We’re not going to – we’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells.”

Israel will still receive the entirety of the massive aid package that was recently approved, and the U.S. will continue to supply weapons to help Israel defend itself against Hamas, according to the White House.

Mills argued that “As Vice President, Biden was caught threatening to withhold funding and aid to Ukraine unless they fired the attorney general investigating Burisma, a company financially benefiting his son Hunter, not to mention the 10% share for ‘the big guy’ himself…”

“Now, Joe Biden is pressuring Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by pausing their funding that has already been approved in the House, if they don’t stop all operations with Hamas. It’s a very clear message, ‘this for that.’”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said Thursday, “The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection. Only with Biden, it’s true.”
